More Information on Workstations and Multi-Display Configurations
TADTechnology recommends setting up all computer workstations with a multi-display configuration consisting of at least two monitors for better efficiency and increased productivity. We have found that two monitors can increase productivity up to 30% over single monitor use.
Multi-display configurations work with any Windows 98, ME, 2000, or XP Professional machine. All that is required to configure your workstation for multi-display support is a video card that supports multiple monitors. TADTechnology highly recommends the Matrox Dual-head or Parhelia Series video cards. Simply install the card and then plug two monitors into the machine. You will now have the expanded capability to navigate back and forth across the two screens with your mouse, move programs from one screen to another, and open and view two programs/documents simultaneously.
The ability to view two programs at once can greatly enhance productivity. Your staff can open electronic documents from the client on one screen and enter the data into the accounting program on the other screen. All need for printing to paper is eliminated. This system is also essential to a paperless office. This also eliminates the time consuming process of your employees handling paperwork.
